Recent news: NC U19 Competition Opportunity.
North Carolina U19 Rugby is a coming together of 17-19 year old women from all over the state to form teams to play rugby, compete, and
try to impress scouts to make the U19 All star team. If you are under 19 or have just turned 19 since January to
currently, you are eligible to play. Please see the Club News section for more information and forms for
this event.
New Officers for the 2008 Fall season have been elected!
An email with the minutes of Tuesday evening's minutes and results should be sent out soon. Election of Officer positions, amendments to the team constitution and goals for the 2008 fall season have been established. Please see the Officers page for the complete list of current officer positions and descriptions.
Current Events: UNC goes to South's 2008.
The last weekend in the Month of March 2008, UNC women's rugby made a trip to the South Region Women's Rugby Tournament at Tuscaloosa. UNC faced off to long time rival UF Gators, but lost in a tough match down only one try. Yet the team came home proud for having made a Regionals appearance once again.
Alumni Weekend complete Success
Friday night featured an Alumni/Undergraduate dinner at Goldies Restaurant and followed with late night festivities. Saturday an Alumni - Ugrad rugby match was held on Eringhaus field directly after the men's early morning rugby match. New players got to meet the legends of UNCWRFC rugby, and even meet the Women who started on the first side back in the early 90's.
